Regarding his visit, ICC Chair Mr. Greg Barclay stated: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to visit Nepal and witness firsthand the progress achieved by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) team. The Association has been diligently working to increase participation and enhance the popularity and support for cricket in the region. The tangible results of these efforts are already evident, with the senior men’s team successfully qualifying for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies. Looking forward, with Nepal set to co-host the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in 2027, I eagerly anticipate visiting the facilities at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground and Mulpani Cricket Stadium.”
