Region Number 8 Janakpur started their Wai Wai U19 national tournament journey with a one wicket victory over Region number 8 Pokhara.
In a low scoring match Pokhara winning the toss and batting first were all out for 141 runs in 37th over. Dhurba Karki top scored for Pokhara with 47 runs. Avisekh Jha bagged 4 wickets for Janakpur.
In reply Janakpur reached the target in 37.4 overs. Janakput lost the ninth wicket on 139 runs but the final pair added the 3 runs to give Janakpur victory in their first match.
Rahul Pratap Singh who scored 38 runs and took 2 wickets for Janakpur was adjudged the player of the match.
