Jayasurya, O’keefee to represent World XI

Nepal Earthquake Match

Kathmandu- Former Sri Lankan batting star Sanath Jayasuriya, along with Australian cricketer Steve O’Keefee will represent World XI against Nepal in “Bat for Nepal”, a fund raising event to be organised by Malaysian Cricket Association on August 9 at Kinrara Oval for the victims of Nepal Earthquake that trolled Nepal on April 25, 2015.

Jayasuriya, known for his explosive batting, smashed 13,450 ODI runs in his career that lasted for two decades. He is also the only player to have scored more than 12000 runs and 300 wickets to his name in ODIs.

Other players that represents Word XI includes Rashid Latif (Pakistan), Abdul Razzaq (Bangladesh), Sohail Gazi (Bangladesh), Aminul Islam (Bangladesh), Marcus Stoinis (Australia), Faiz Noor (Malaysia), Suresh Navaratnam (Malaysia), Venugopal Rao (India) and Chetan Suryawansi (Singapore).

Paras Khadka leads Nepal’s team. Mehaboob Alam, Bhuwan Karki, and Raju Rijal has been drifted into the side for the match.
