Jhapa and Rupandehi enter Inter School Girls T20 semi finals

Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Suryodaya High School, Jhapa and Apex English Boarding School, Rupandehi entered into the semi final of the third Inter School Wai Wai Girl’s Twenty20 Cricket Tournament ongoing in Rupandehi.

Suryodaya defeated Lahan Public school by 21 runs to enter the semi final. Batting first, Suryodaya losing eight wickets scored a total of 88 runs in 20 overs. Kajol Shrestha top scored 22 runs for the winner. 22 runs were awarded as extras. For Lahan, Anuradha Chaudhary picked up four wickets while Shanta Chaudhary and Samjhana Gautam added two wickets each.

In reply, Lahan lost all wickets in 16.1 overs and managed to score only 67 runs.

Player of the match Sangeeta Rai from Suryodaya picked up three wickets. Neha Karki took two while Sabnam Rai picked up one for the winners.

In another match, Apex School entered into the final four after they got walkover from Dadeldhura Mahendra High School.

Though said twelve districts would participate, only eight: Rupandehi, Jhapa, Sarlahi, Siraha, Dang, Kapilbastu, Baitadi and Kaski did participate in the tournament.
