Joe Root’s Debut Pattern: No Batting Chance in IPL Opener

Joe Root, the former Test captain of the England cricket team, made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on May 7th, Sunday. Root was involved in the Rajasthan Royal’s playing XI for the first time in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Although Root was in the playing XI, he didn’t get the chance to bat in his first IPL match. This is not a new experience for him, as he also did not get the opportunity to bat in a few more of his debut matches.

Root is known for his batting skills and his consistent performances in Test cricket. However, he has not been a regular member of England’s limited-overs squads in recent times, and his participation in the IPL is seen as a way to gain more experience in the shorter formats of the game.
