KMC and NMC Register Wins

Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) and Nepal Medical College (NMC) won their respective matches today in the KU Cup T20 tournament, being played at Kathmandu University Ground Dhulikhel.

In the 7th  match of the tournament, Kathmandu Medical College (KU) defeated Little Angles College of Management (LACM) by 51 runs. Man of the match Ashish Shrestha winning it for KCM with his all round performance. In the first innings   Shrestha scored 49 of the 134 runs for KCM, Prashant Thapa made 35 of 31 balls.  Defending that target Shrestha picked up four vital wickets giving away only 9 runs, as LACM were knocked over for 83 in 18th over. Dipesh Shakaya added 28 runs for LACM

In another pool A match  played today Nepal Medical College(NMC) defeted Kathmandu University School of Medical Science by 15 runs. Batting first Nepal Medical College posted 125 runs on board. Paritosh Bhaskar and opener Santosh Bajgain contributed 32 and 24 runs respectively. KUMS Ashutosh kafle picked up four wickets for the host. Defending 125 runs Anubhav Rijal picked up four wickets for NMC as KUMS could only gather 110 runs losing eight wickets. This is the first win for NMC in the tournament, they lost to KMC (Kathmandu Medical College) in their first game.

Four games of the group stage are yet to be played. Two pool B matches are set to take place tomorrow.
