Kolkata Satya Bharati enters semifinal

Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Kolkata Satya Bharati School from India entered into the semi final of the Wai Wai Indo Nepal U-16 T20 Cricket Tournament after defeating Glacier School by 73 runs at Pulchowk Engineering Campus Ground on Wednesday.

Winning the toss, Satya Bharati elected to bat and put up 164 for 7 in 20 overs. Atul Nirala top scored with 36 runs and Pankish Kumar added 32 runs. Ram Jaishwal and Irshad Ahmad took two wickets each for Glacier.

Chasing the target, Glacier was all out for 91 run. Jeevan Lamshal scored 38 runs and Nabodit Chhetri put 21 runs for Glacier. Himanshu Joshi took four wickets and man-of-the-match Atul Nirala claimed three wickets for Satya Bharati.

While in the other match at Pulchowk, New Horizon School, Bhairahawa thrashed the host Greenland Children Academy, Kathmandu by 54 runs. Putting 107 runs on board New Horizon restricted the host to 53 with the help of four wickets haul from the man of the match Bishan Thapa.

Meanwhile, Army School, Bhaktapur defeated DAV School, Jawalakhel by seven wickets in a match played at the Army School´s ground on Wednesday. Army School restricted DAV at 100/7 in 20 overs and chased the target in 17.5 overs losing only three wickets. Man-of-the-match Arjun Bhusal took three wickets to lead Army School to victory.

The tournament is organized by Greenland Children Academy H.S. School and runs for 5 days where 10 schools are participating.
