KU and NCM Register Easy Wins

Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Kathmandu University Central Campus (KU) and Nepal College of Management (NCM) won their respective matches today in the KU Cup T20 tournament, being played at Kathmandu University Ground Dhulikhel.

KU thrashed Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital & Research Centre (KDCH) by 9 wickets and whooping 13 overs to spare. Winning the toss and batting first KDCH were bowled out for 70 runs in 17 overs. Krishna Bista, Shirish Bajracharya,  Umesh Badu, grabbed two wickets apiece to restrict KDCH to a low score. In reply KU got to the target in mere 7 overs, Pyaghesh Dhungel and Krishna Bista with 27 each for the host side, Bista facing just 10 balls for the 27 with four sixes in his innings.  Prayghesh faced 14 balls for his 27 runs’ inning which included four fours. Krishna Bista was declared the player of the match for his batting and bowling heroics.

On the other game NCM defeated National College of Development Studies (NCDS) by six wickets with 9.3 overs remaining. Batting first NCDS made 99 runs for the loss of nine wickets, Saurav Bastola and Shishir Bhandari made 38 and 13 respectively for the batting side. Ashish ghimere for KU with excellent figures of three wickets for 5 runs of his four overs including one maiden.  NCM got to the target in 10.3 overs losing 4 wickets. Dinesh Burlakoti top scored for NCM with 23 runs, Prabin agrawal and Dinesh Khatri contributed with 19 and 15 respectively. Sachin Timalsina and Apar Bhattarai picked up 2 wickets each for the losing side. Ashish Ghimere with his excellent bowling figures was declared the player of the match.
