Ladli Lions in semis

KATHMANDU, January 3:
Ladli Lions entered the semi finals of the ongoing Shree Ridhi Sidhi Marwadi Champions League at Modern Indian School Ground, Chovar today.

Winning the toss, Ladli Lions opted to bat first. With Sandeep Bhatera scoring 46 runs off 49 balls that included 4 fours and a six, Lions put up a big total of 177 runs in lost of 8 wickets in alloted 20 overs. Surav Lanawat supported the Sandeep’s innings with a brilliant 44 off 22 balls that included 4 fours and 2 big sixes. Sumit Sharma and Hitesh Dalmiya added 32 and 12 runs each. Sumit got a firing score off 16 balls including 5 big shots out of which 3 went for four and 2 went for six.

Purnendu Ghosh remained the most economical bowler for the Devils with 4 wickets off his 4 over spell conceding only 34 runs. Aashish Agrawal grabbed two wickets. While, Sailesh Agrawal and Yogesh Kedia shared a wicket each for the devils.

In reply, Dare Devils were bowled for 135 runs in 18.4 overs, thus losing by 42 runs. Purnendu Ghosh made a brisk start for Devils with 43 runs off 24 balls including 4 fours and 3 sixes. Yogesh Kedia added 27 off 21 with 3 fours and a six. Aasish Agrawal and Amar Thakuri went cheaply with 13 and 11 runs respectively on board. None of the other batsman could perform well for the devils.

Sumit Sharma(3) took the highest wickets for Lions while man of the match Saurav Lanawat and Navin Jain shared two wickets each.

Duro Warriors will take on S.G Challengers in the fourth quarter finals tomorrow at Mumbai Indian School Ground, Chovar.
