Lamichhane and Airee show impactful performance in their respective team’s win 

Nepalese superstar cricketers Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Singh Airee both performed well and played a good role in their respective teams’ wins in the ongoing Global T20 League Canada.

Sandeep Lamichhane’s Surrey Jaguars defeated Vancouver Knights to book a place in the final, whilst Airee’s Montreal Tigers are now one win away from playing the final.

Sandeep Lamichhane picked up one wicket in Jaguars’ win

Surrey Jaguars posted 139/9 in the allotted 20 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed top scored with 36 runs. Lamichhane also got a chance to bat but managed just four runs from six delivaries.

In reply, the Knights were wrapped up for just 101 runs. Matthew Forde was the star with four wickets. Meanwhile, Lamichhane ended up with a figure of 3-0-15-1. He conceded just one run from the first over and picked up a wicket in the second over conceding just one. He went for 13 runs in his third over after being hit for a six and four. 

His team will face the winner between Vancouver Knights and Montreal Tigers in the final.

Dipendra Singh Airee’s superb display in the field

Airee showcased a brilliant display of fielding and also picked up one wicket in the Montreal Tigers’ victory. Brampton Wolves were bowled out for just 104 runs in 20 overs. Airee, bowling just one over, dismissed Mark Chapman and conceded only six runs.

He took a catch of Usman Khan and helped to run out dangerous Colin de Grandhome and Chris Green.

Tigers chased the target in 14.2 overs with the help of Chris Lynn’s 63. They will face Vancouver Knigts in the second Qualifier, and the winner will secure a meet with Surrey Jaguars in the final.
