The National Sports Council has decided to put all the Men’s and Women’s Cricket matches at Mahendranagar during the sixth edition of National Games to be organized in Kanchanpur and Kailali.
Dhangadhi, Kailali will be hosting the inaugural ceremony of the mega event. The NSC meeting on Thursday also decided to organise hockey, chess, archery, weightlifting, bodybuilding, wrestling, kabaddi, wushu, table tennis and football tournaments in Kanchanpur district. Kailali will be hosting athletics, football, volleyball, lawn tennis, soft tennis, handball, judo, kabaddi, boxing, karate, badminton, basketball, gymnastics and cycling events.
However, the date for the mega event is yet to be fixed. “The event is likely to be held some time in mid February”, Yuvraj Lama, NSC Member Secretary said. The event will see the closing ceremony at Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur.
