Malaysia’s national cricket team has announced their squad for ACC Men’s Premier Cup. Ahmad Faiz will lead the 14-man squad in the tournament to be held in Nepal.
Malaysia is placed in Group A along with the hosts Nepal, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. They will be facing Nepal at TU Cricket Ground in the first match of the tournament. Similarly, Singapore, Kuwait, UAE, Hong Kong, and Bahrain are placed in Group B.
The winning team of the tournament will join India and Pakistan in Group A of the Asia Cup 2023, which will take place in September. Furthermore, the top three teams of the Premier Cup will also get the opportunity to feature in the ACC Emerging Cup in July.
