Naresh Budhayair guides Nepal U19 to victory in practice match

Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Naresh Budhayer played a heroic inning of 86 not out as Nepal U19 registered victory over North Territory Top End Invitational Academy by 3 wickets in the third practice match.

Nepal was invited to the field after losing the toss. Nepali bowlers played their part as they restricted NT Top End Invitational Academy to 195 runs. Rahul Vishwakarma remained the pick of the bowler as he picked 4 wickets.

In reply, Nepal chased the target in 44th over. With Prithu Baskota adding 29 runs, and Hasim Ansari contributing 16 runs, Nepal registered a victory over the team which had earlier defeated Ireland’s Under 19 team by 2 wickets on Thursday.

Nepal had lost to Northern Territory Stroke by 98 runs on Sunday and defeated the Kormilda College Cricket team by 255 runs on Wednesday.

Nepal will leave for Brisbane tomorrow and will play PNG in a practice match on August 7th. They will face New Zealand on August 8th.
The tournament begins on August 11 while Nepal’s first match is against Australia on August 13. Nepal will play against Ireland on the 15th and wrap up against England on 16th.
