National cricket team arrive home

Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Nepal national cricket team returned home on Monday after finishing seventh off the ICC World TWenty20 Qualifiers held in UAE.

Nepal finished seventh defeating P.N.G. by six wickets in the seventh place play off finals, the team to which they lost in the group stage match by 35 runs. Nepal also defeated a ODI status nation Kenya by five wickets in the seventh place play off semi final.

Nepal national cricket players on Sunday evening arrived in the Tribhuwan International Airport and were warmed received by the president of Cricket Association of Nepal(CAN) Tanka Angbuhang, members from CAN, a number of media persons and a group of fans.

During the tournament, Nepal defeated Hong Kong, Denmark and Bermuda in the group stage while Kenya and Papua New Guinea for the place play match while Nepal faced defeat against Papua New Guinea, Afghanistan, Netherlands and Canada.
