National skipper Paras returns home

Nepal national cricket team captain Paras Khadka is back to Kathmandu after a three months stay at Canada where he played club game for Ontario Cricket Academy and Club.

Paras Khadka scored 374 runs in 13 matches he played maintaining the average of 41.56 to remain the top scorer for the club. Khadka had the highest score of 98 runs. Khadka also remained the most economical bowler for Ontario with the economy rate of 2.39. Khadka took 11 wickets with the average of 11.73

Ontario is currently in the top of the Pompey Conference League, premier division. Khadka is back to Nepal for the preparation of the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division IV that is to be held in Malaysia from .

Meanwhile, national cricketer Sharad Vesawkar, Anil Mandal and vice captain Gyanendra Malla left for Bangalore, India for special batting camp at Global Cricket School on Wednesday.

At the same time, CAN has announced that the 8 members team will visit Sri Lanka before the Division IV tournament on August 17 as a preparation. The 8 members team includes coach Pubudu Dassanayake, captain Khadka, Mandal, Vesawkar, Malla, Prithu Baskota, Pradeep Airee, Rahul Vishwakarma and Subash Khakurel. Mandal, Vesawkar and Malla will join the team on August 18 in Sri Lanka while the U19 players, Baskota, Airee, Vishwakarma, Khakurel and coach Dassanayake will be flying to Sri Lanka from Australia. The U19 team is currently in Australia to participate in the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup 2012.
