Netherlands and Nepal are confirmed to battle in the final of the T20I Tri-nation series between Nepal, Namibia and the Netherlands.
Sunday’s match between Namibia and Netherlands was abandoned by the rain which guaranteed Namibia’s exit. Invited to bat first at TU Cricket Ground, Namibia were 98/4 in 15 overs when rain interrupted play. Unfortunately, further action was not possible, resulting in both teams earning a point each.
The Netherlands collected five points and topped the table while Nepal finished second with four points. Meanwhile, Namibia finished at the bottom with three points.
Although Nepal began the series with defeats against both teams, they resiliently bounced back, securing victories in the two remaining matches and earning a spot in the final.
Scheduled for March 5 (Tuesday) at TU Cricket Ground, the final match of the series will mark the 12th T20I encounter between Nepal and the Netherlands. Both teams have won five matches each, with one match concluding without a result.
In five matches played at TU Cricket Ground, Nepal have emerged victorious on three occasions.
