Nepal defeat India to lead the series 2-1 in Women’s Bilateral Series for the Blind

The Nepalese national women’s blind team registered a win against India’s blind women’s team on Friday to lead the series 2-1. The Nepalese team were victorious by nine wickets at Mulpani Cricket Ground (lower).

The previous two matches of the series were played at Pokhara Cricket Ground, with both teams winning one match each. Nepal started the series with an eight-wicket win, while India were victorious by nine wickets in the second match.

Forced to bat first, India scored 213/5 in the allotted 20 overs. Skipper Sushma Patel scored the highest 63 runs for her side. Simu Das scored a quick 18-ball 46.

For Nepal, Nisha Choudhary picked up one wicket while the other four were run-outs.

In response, Nepal achieved the target in the final ball of the inning, losing just one wicket. Opener Binita Pun scored an unbeaten 67-ball 126 with 19 fours. Mankeshi Chaudhary also scored 65 runs.

The remaining matches of the series will be played on 29 and 30 April at Mulpani Cricket Ground.
