Kathmandu – Nepal started in a winning note in their tour to Jaipur by defeating Star Cricket Academy by 3 wickets.
Star Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first. They could only manage 155 runs in their 50 overs. Abhijeet Toman was their high scorer. He scored 58 (notout). For Nepal, Spinner duo Sanjam Regmi & Basanta Regmi took 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Fast bowler Amrit Bhattarai grabbed a wicket.
Meanwhile, Nepali Batsmen had to toil hard to reach the target . They kept on losing wickets before 8th wicket partnership between Sharad and Prithu closed the innings in 44 overs. Both Sharad Veswarkar 44 and his partner Prithu Baskota 36 remained not out till the end.
Paras Khadka (10) and Binod Bhandari (9) were other contributors during the chase.
