Nepal Register Another Easy Win

Nepali Cricket Team registered yet another easy victory this time against an Invitational XI Cricket Team. Nepal is set to play one more match with Invitational XI. This was the 6th win of 7 matches played in Delhi  for Nepal.

Opting to field after winning the toss Nepali bowlers had a easy day. Invitational XI couldn’t score runs from the start and were 39/2 at the end of 10 overs. Invitational XI got only 4 fours and 2 sixes in their entire innings.

Shakti Gauchan starred with the ball for Nepal with 3 wickets from his four overs giving just 9 runs.He got firs break in the 6th over for Nepal when the Invitational XI had just 23 on board. He bowled the only maiden of the match. Paras Khadka picked up 2 wickets-both of them caught and bowled. Amrit,Jitendra and Basanta picked up a wicket each.

Basanta in fact was the most expensive bowler for Nepal giving away 24 runs in his four overs.

Shakib Alam who top scored with 18 of 15 balls and Nitin Tanwar who made 9 of 6 balls were the only batsman for Invitational Team that scored runs with Strike rate greater than 100. Kneeling to disciplined Nepali bowling attack Invitational Team barely crawled past 90.

Having left out Sagar in the match Pradeep Airee and Subash Khakurel opened for Nepal.Chasing a small total Pradeep Airee started Nepal’s in typical Airee way smacking 2 sixes in the second over itself. The opening pair of Airee and Subash added 29 for first wicket- Subash made just 6 off those.

Airee finally fell for 24 of 21 balls at teams total of 43 runs in the 8th over. Needing to score less than 4 runs an over Paras and Gyanendra scored at a slow rate! Paras added uncharacteristic 21 of 36 balls.

Gyanendra Malla scored this third straight 30 plus score in the Delhi tour adding 33 of 39 balls. He got out in the 19th over-Nepal won the match in the same over as Binod Bhandari saw Nepal home to a easy win.
