Nepal registers win to wrap up Jaipur tour

Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Nepal national cricket team registered the fourth and the final win of their practice matches after the Friday’s Match ended in a 41 runs victory for Nepal. Nepal team which is in Jaipur as a preparation for the upcoming ICC World Cricket League Division 3 tournament to be held in Bermuda week later had registered wins in all of the practice matches played against Star Academy before.

Nepal electing to bat first made a total of 201 runs in a 45 overs match with half century from Gyanendra Malla(58) and Sharad Vesawkar(59). Opener Subash Khakurel went out without score on board while Basanta Regmi and Sanjam Regmi joined Khakurel at personal score of zero. Binod Bhandari(21), Anil Mandal(4), Paras Khadka(6) and Prithu Baskota(4) were the other run scorers for Nepal.

In reply with the help of four wickets from Shakti Gauchan and two each from Amrit Bhattarai and Sanjam Regmi Star were restricted to 160 runs in 39 overs.

Nepal will return home on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bermuda Cricket has announced warm up fixtures for the Division tournament. Nepal will be playing against Bermuda XI on 25th of April at 7:15 NST. Three batsman from Bermuda Senior Team: Jason Anderson, Treadwell Gibbons and Tre Manders will play the warmup against Nepal confirmed the Bermuda Cricket Board.
