Nepal Set for First Formal Tour of India

CAN & BCCI Agreement

Kathmandu – The Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) has given thumbs up to Nepal’s Tour of Delhi to play practice match against Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA). Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) presented a proposal of visit to DDCA which was approved by BCCI.

With the approval this will be the first formal tour of Nepal in India. CAN’s high performance program had revealed that Nepal would tour India from 20th-30th October for 7-10 matches against DDCA as preparation for T20 World Cup Qualifiers. The fixtures of the tour is yet to be finalized.

CAN had recently signed a deal with the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) for the friendly tour and development of cricket.

Nepali team with 24 players is currently closed camp preparing for the qualifiers a few more could be added after the National T20 League.

Nepali national team is to play in the World T20 Qualifiers to be held in the United Arab Emirates from November 15 to 30.
