Nepal team set to watch IPL match

Cricnepal/Kathmandu – Nepali Cricket Team is all set to attend the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians today at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals has arranged for the Nepali team to watch the match.

Meanwhile, Nepal defeated Nirja Modi-XI by 69 runs in its second practice match yesterday. Batting first, Nepal scored 269 runs in their 50 overs. Binod Bhandari 67, Paras Khadka 51, Gyanendra Malla 50 & Sarad Vesawkar 46 were the major contributors for Nepal.

Similarly, Pradip Airee (22) & Basanta Regmi (11) remained not out and took the score to 269 for the loss of seven wickets.

During the chase, Nepal restricted Nirja Modi-XI to 190/8 in their 50 overs. Fast bowler Amrit Bhattarai grabbed 3 wickets while Spinner Sanjam Regmi took 2 wickets. Basanta Regmi & Rahul BK shared wicket apiece.

Nepali team is in Jaipur(India) for the preparation of ICC World Cricket League Division 3 to be held in Bermuda from April 28 to May 5. They already defeated Star Academy by 3 wickets on Monday.
