Nepal will be playing against Hongkong in the semifinal of the ACC Women’s T20 Championship 2011 at Kuwait. Nepal being the group leader of GROUP B and Thailand being the 2nd top team in the group will be facing Hongkong and China in the semis respectively.
Nepal will be facing Hongkong second time in the semifinal match. In Malaysia 2009, Nepal was defeated by 7 wickets. In the first version of the tournament, Nepal reached the final.
Thailand defeated Kuwait today, their bowlers winning them the match. Kuwait showed smatterings of ability but its Thailand who join Nepal from Group B in the semi-finals. Both semifinal matches will be played on the same day.
On a decider match today, Kuwait scored 47 runs in their 20 overs loosing 8 wickets. Thailand set an easy win after losing 2 wickets to be placed in Semis tomorrow.
