Nepal U19 team loses T20 match

Nepal U-19 team lost only Twenty20 match against Bangladesh U-19 by 68 runs played at Sylhet Divisional Stadium, Bangladesh.

Bangladesh U-19 team batting first scored 150 run loosing 5 wickets. Bhuwan Karki and Vice-captain Rahul Kumar BK took 2 wickets each for Nepal while skipper Baskota claimed a wicket. During the chase, start of the innings went worst for Nepal, loosing its opener Subash Khakurel in the 1st over of the inning.

Nepal could only manage 82 runs on the board after loosing 8 wickets and went on to lose all its warmup matches before the start of the ACC U-19 Elite Cup.

Sagar Pun scored 18 runs, he was highest scorer for Nepal. Nasum Ahmed and Jobber Hussein claimed 2-2 wickets each for Bangladesh. Hussein, who claimed altogether 10 wickets in the two One-Day and a T20 matches, was adjudged Man of the series.

Nepal U-19 were not seen up to the mark in fielding. They were sloppy in ground fielding meanwhile wicketkeeper Khakurel´s missed three catching opportunity.

Nepal U-19 have lost also the two One-Day matches against the same opponent in their ACC (Asian Cricket Council) U-19 Elite Cup build-up.

The team will now move to Thailand for the ACC U-19 Elite Cup to be held from 1st February.
