Nepal Women bundled out for 50 runs against Malaysia

Nepal Women, playing their first International match after 340 days had a forgetful first innings against the Malaysia Women’s team in the first T20I match of tour.

Invited to bat first, Nepal Women could only manage 50 runs in 16.5 overs. Sita Rana Magar was dismissed for a golden duck while Kajal Shrestha manage 6(11). Jyoti Pandey came at 3 and hit two boundaries in her innings of 11 runs off 17 balls. Indu Barma went cheaply for 3 runs. Skipper Rubina Chhetri lost her wicket after playing 10 deliveries adding two runs to the total. Kabita Kunwar and Apsari Begam didn’t trouble the scoreboard.

Samjhana Khadka was the highest scorer for Nepal, who contributed 13 runs from 25 balls, including one boundary.

Nik Nur Atiela was the pick of the bowlers for Malaysia as she returned a figure of 3 of 9 runs in four overs. Ainna Hamizah Hashim, Aisya Eleesa and Mahirah Izzati Ismail shared two wickets each.
