Nepalese Cricket Team off to India for Friendship Cup T20 Tri-Series

The Nepalese national cricket team are off to India to play Friendship Cup T20 Tri-Series. The team will then travel to Oman for the ACC Premier Cup, which is a gateway to the Asia Cup 2025.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) hosted a farewell event for the team at Hyatt Palace, Soalteemode on Thursday. Youth and Sports Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha and CAN Secretary Paras Khadka graced the occasion to extend their best wishes to the team ahead of their tour.

The SMS Friendship Cup will be played between Nepal and two Indian state teams – Gujrat and Baroda in Vapi, Gujrat. The series starts on March 31 with Nepal taking on Gujrat.

Nepal’s fixture in SMS Friendship Cup:

  • March 31 vs Gujrat
  • April 2 vs Baroda
  • April 3 vs Gujrat
  • April 5 vs Baroda
  • April 7 – FINAL

Meanwhile, the ACC Premier Cup will be played in Oman from April 12 to April 21. Nepal will play their first game against Malaysia on the 12th of April.
