Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Match between Region Number 5 Nepalgunj and Region Number 1 Biratnagra was called off at the second inning as rain halted the play.
Earlier, the match was reduced to 27 overs a side and Nepalgunj scored a total of 132 runs losing all of their wickets in 26.4 overs. Pravin Giri top scored for Nepalgunj with 32 runs while Siddharth Shahi 28, Wasim Halwai 22, Rahul Pokhrel 15 and Inammudin Halwai 10 were some other major contributors. Amit Dahal took five wickets while Rohit Singh and Hemen Rai claimed a wicket each.
The second inning was further reduced to 24 overs with the target reduced to 124 runs according to D/L method. Biratnagar played till nine overs but the match was called off due to insufficient time to commence required number of overs.
On Thursday, Region Number 3 Kathmandu will face Biratnagar.
