Nepali National Team to tour India

Cricnepal/Kathmandu – Nepali National Cricket Team will be traveling to India tomorrow for practice matches ahead of ACC T20 Trophy and ICC World Cricket League Division 3 to be held in kathmandu and Bermuda respectively.

“Nepali team has a busy schedule this season and for that purpose we need to gear up and have a good form to meet our challenges”, Coach Pubudu Dassanayake told. “We are good in bowling and fielding and recently Batters have shown good temperament and confidence in the recent tournaments. We still need some exposure in batting so the focus will be more on batting on this tour”, he further added.

Players were on the close camp for the last five weeks at Tribhuvan University Ground, Kirtipur and will be traveling to Delhi to play 10 matches. They will play 4 One Days Matches and 6 T20s against the Academy and Clubs.

18 players has been selected for the tour and Coach is confident and excited to see the boys being exposed with the local teams. Captain Paras Khadka, Wicketkeeper Subash Khakurel, Sagar Pun, Gyanendra Malla, Prithu Baskota, Pradeep Airee, Binod Bhandari, Basanta Regmi, Sarad Veswaskar, Shakti Gauchan, Chandra Saud, Amrit Bhattarai, Sanjam Regmi, Manjit Shrestha, Anil Mandal, Rahul Viswakarma, Jitendra Mukhiya & Ramnaresh Giri are in the squad.
