Nepali Women continues its loosing streak

Lahore, Pakistan – Nepali women team continued with the defeat on the last practice match against the Pakistani national team here on Tuesday by margin of 116 runs.

Winning the toss, Nepal elected to field first and restricted Pakistan to a score of 165 runs. Pakistan made 165 runs on the allocated 20 over’s by loosing only 3 wickets. Nepal who went to chase 166 runs was all out for 49 runs. None of the players from Nepal could make a double figure score. Sarita Magar, Madhu Thapa made 9 runs each to add runs on the Nepalese board. Neera Rajopadhya made 6 runs. Similarly Indu Barma made 4 runs while Rubina Kshetri and Sonu Khadka added 3 runs each. Sonu Khadka and Sarita Magar took a wicket each for Nepal.

Nepal had already lost the first two practice matches while the third was abandoned due to rain. Nepal will now leave off for ACC Womens T-20 tournament to be held at Kuwait scheduled from 18th February.
“The practice match with the Pakistan team has certainly aided the confidence of the Nepali team and could help on bringing good result in Kuwait”, said Nepali coach Arun Aryal.
