Nepali women wins the opener against Thailand

Nepal opened its winning account defeating Thailand by 21 runs in a low scoring match at ACC Women’s Twenty 20 being held at Kuwait. Thailand needed 76 runs in 20 overs but were bundled out for just 54 runs in 18.1 overs.

Nepal didnot had a good start at the beginning after winning the toss and kept on losing wickets. They just could manage a low score of 75 runs in 18.4 overs. Janaki Bhatt scored 25 runs and remained the highest scorer for Nepal. Nary could only score 10 runs.

For Nepal, K.Bhandari took three wickets (3-12) and S.Magar took two wicket. (2-8). Janaki Bhatt was Man of the Match for her batting of 27 runs.

The team moral is at high point at this moment after successfully defending the low scoring match. If not batting, bowling did the trick for them.

Nepal will be playing against UAE on Saturday. The tournament is being held at Kuwait from February 18 to 25th.
