NMB, Century Bank, Nepal Bank Limited and Indian Embassy Reach Semis

Kathmandu/Cricnepal: NMB, Century Bank, Nepal Bank Limited and Indian Embassy have entered the semi finals of soaltee super sixes, winning their quarter final matches today. The tournament is being held at Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

NMB Bank   Vs Citizens Bank    1st Quarter Final

NMB bank was the first team to enter the semi final beating Citizen bank by 15 runs in the first quarter final. Winning the toss and batting first NMB put up 66 runs in 5 overs losing 2 wickets. Vishnu poudel scored 31 runs of 12 balls for NMB. Sushan Devkota of Citizen picked up 2 wickets. Chasing 67 Citizen were restricted   for 51 runs

Standard Chartered Bank   Vs Century Bank    2nd Quarter Final

Century bank beat Standard chartered in their quarter final match by 5 wickets and booked their place in the semi finals. Winning the toss century opted to field first and restriced Standard chartered for 61 runs,  chased the target in 4.4 overs losing only on wicket. Sankar Lal Shrestha and Abhaya Rana made 28 and 26 n.o. for winning side.

Nepal Bank Ltd.  Vs Kantipur Media Group   3rd Quarter Final

Shanta Bd. Shah’s 43 runs, of 12 balls helped Nepal Bank Limited defeat Kantipur Media group by 29 runs. Batting first Nepal bank put 84 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Samir Giri also contributed 31 of 12 balls for Nepal Bank. Chasing 85 Kantipur Media Group were restriced for 55 runs. Samir Giri of Nepal Bank bagged two vital wickets.

Bank of Asia Vs Embassy of India 4th Quarter Final

In the final match of the day, Indian Embassy defeated the defending champions Bank of Asia, who ironically had defeated Indian embassy in last year’s final. Batting first Indian Embassay posted 67 runs for loss of three wickets. Chasing 68  Bank of Asia were restricted to 58 runs, thanks to an excellent over of just 4 runs and a wicket by Sihan Patwal  giving Embassy 9 runs victory.Diwash Singh Thakuri top scored for bank of Asia with 33 runs of 15 balls. Earlier Virendra Kumar had scored 32 runs of 12 balls for the Embassay.

Earlier in the day, Embassy of India, in their pre quarter final match, had defeated Sanima Bank by 6 wickets to reach the quarter finals.

The semi final and final matches will take place tomorrow. NMB will take on Indian Embassy and Century Bank will take on Nepal Bank Ltd
