NSC to organise two-day cricket tournament

Kathmandu – National Sports Council (NSC) has announced to organise Prime Minister’s Cup, a two-day cricket tournament in mid june, ahead of senior team’s europe tour.

According to NSC’s member secretary Keshab Kumar Bista, the tournament will feature both men and women’s team.

Nepal Men’s team is set to play friendly match against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) at Lord’s Cricket Ground in july. After that, they will travel to Netherlands to play two matches of fourth round of ICC World Cricket League championship matches against the home team.

“The recommendation for such tournament was made by cricket coaches and players and we have allocated 6 million budget to organise it”, Bista added.

The two-day cricket tournament will work as selection tournament for the senior team ahead of their europe tour.
