Pakistan blind cricketers clinches series

KARACHI: Pakistan blind cricket team completed a sweep against Nepal in the two-match Twenty20 series following a seven-wicket win in the final match.

The hosts achieved the target of 170 in 15.4 overs after a fine knock of 79 by Sarfaraz Ahmed, who was named man of the match. Shafqat Ali who scored 36 was the other main scorer from the winning side.

Earlier, the visitors compiled a total of 169 runs with Rejendra Dhitall (32) and Rajan Ghardar (29) being the notable scorers.

Meanwhile, the T20 series will be followed by three one-day matches that start tomorrow in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The other two remaining matches will be played in Islamabad on December 23 and 24. Team captain Abdul Razzaq was hopeful of victory in the upcoming one-day matches as well.
