Nepal national cricket team’s former skipper, Paras Khadka is set to play in Legends League Cricket 2023. Legends League Cricket posted a picture of Paras’ inclusion in the Asian Lions’ squad.

The third edition of the tournament is commencing on February 27 in Qatar. “Yes, I’m signed by Asian Lions and I’m excited to travel and share the field with other legends”, Paras said to Cricnepal. “The details about the travelling date and other stuff will be received shortly. I’ll be playing this season unlike the previous one, which I missed due to some reasons”, Paras added.

Khadka will be seen in the field alongside some famous cricketers like Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammed Hafeez, Thisara Perera, Upul Tharanga, Misbah ul Haq, Shahid Afridi, Muttiah Muralitharan.

Legends League Cricket is a Global League with former Cricketers playing competitive cricket. World Giants, Asian Lions, and India Maharajas battled for the trophy in the first edition in Oman, where Darren Sammy led World Giants clinched the trophy. The second edition was held in India in September 2022 and featured private-franchise-owned teams across six major cities. The second edition of the league had been dedicated to India’s 75th Independence celebrations.

After bidding adieu to International cricket, Paras has not played any competitive cricket since representing Bagmati Province in Kathmandu Mayors Cup 2021. The 34 years old has played 10 ODIs and 33 T20Is for Nepal before announcing a retirement on 3 August 2021.
