Paras shines as Nepal wins the second practice match

Kathmandu – Nepal defeated Nirlon Sports Club by five wickets in a second practice match off their Mumbai Tour.

Winning the toss, Nirlon Sports Club elected to bat first and scored a good total of 124 runs losing 9 wickets in alloted 20 overs.

Mohit Parwal top scored 53 runs, Dharam Ganatra added 17, Raju Sharma scored 15 and Rahul Sagar added 15 for Nirlon.  For Nepal, Chandra Saud was the pick of the bowler, he took 4 wickets. Amrit Bhattarai and Shakti Gauchan took 2 wickets each. Krishna Karki got one.

Chasing the target, Nepal had a slow start. Nepal lost the opening pair in a low score. Paresh Lohani made only 12 while Pradeep Airee returned to the pavilion with a single. Captain Paras Khadka scored 57 runs while Sharad vesawkar remained not out at 49 runs. Prithu Baskota also remained not out with 6 runs. Mahaboob Alam and Gyanendra Malla both went for a duck out.

Nepal will play the next 50 over practice match with Nerul Gymkhana on Monday.
