Aamir Akhtar (born 26 June 1981) is a former Nepalese cricketer. He represented the Nepal Under19 team during the 2000 ICC U19 Cricket world cup in Sri Lanka.

Akthar was an opening pace bowler and a lower-order batsman. He also played in the 2006 ICC Intercontinental Cup and Asian Cricket Council Twenty20 Cup in 2007.

He also led the University of Luton cricket team in England for two years and played for British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) leagues.

His passion for cricket brought him back to Nepal and started Shangri-La cricket Academy in Lalitpur. In 2014, he started Nepal Premier League (now Everest Premier League), a franchise-based twenty20 cricket tournament, compromising six teams.
