Sandeep Lamichhane, born on August 2, 2000, in Syangja, is a talented Nepalese cricketer. He was discovered at the young age of 14 during a local match in the Chitwan district (Bagmati Province) by Pubudu Dassanayake. Representing the Nepal under 19 teams and currently part of the Senior National team, Lamichhane is a skillful right-arm leg-spin bowler.

He achieved a remarkable feat as the first Nepali cricketer to be selected for the prestigious Indian Premier League (India), the Big Bash League (Australia), and the Pakistan Super League (Pakistan).

Lamichhane made his T20 international debut for the World XI team against the West Indies, becoming the first Nepali cricketer to debut in a T20 international while representing a combined team. He was also part of Nepal’s historic first One Day International (ODI) match against the Netherlands in August 2018.

In the ICC Men’s U-19 World Cup 2016 held in Bangladesh, he showcased his brilliance by taking a hat-trick (5/27) against Ireland, playing a pivotal role in Nepal’s qualification for the Super League quarterfinals.

The former Australian legend, Shane Warne, serves as his idol.
