PNG Training in Adelaide for Qualifiers

The  Papua New Guinea Cricket Team landed in Adelaide earlier this week following their first leg of the SACA Premier League tournament which was held in Darwin, Northern Territory. The PNG Team created history by winning one of their five matches.
They will be spending 5 weeks in Adelaide preparing for  the all important ICC World T20 Qualifiers.Hong Kong Team is also in Australia on a nine day tour of New South Wales for the T20 Qualifier Preparation.
The six week long training camp will involve several T20 matches, intensive fitness and gym sessions as well as a chance for the coaches Peter Anderson & Paul Strang to work closely with the PNG Team to fine tune their skills, techniques and tactics for the qualifiers.
Peter Anderson was former Queensland player who was nominated PNG coach in Feb 2012. Paul Strang former Zimbabwe leg spinner joined the PNG team a month back. Strang has coaching experiences with Auckland A and Auckland Aces of New Zealand.
The practice matches will include matches against several Adelaide clubs as well as the Darren Lehman Cricket Academy (DLCA) players where a majority of the players come from the English County.
