Pradhan gets a call to officiate U19 WC

Kathmadu/Cricnepal: Nepal International Umpire and the member of  Associate and Affiliate Umpire Panel, Buddhi Pradhan has got a call to officiate in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2012 to be held in August 11-26 in Australia.

International Cricket Councli(ICC) on friday  announced match officials, and warm-up and first round appointments for  the World Cup.

Pradhan will officiate two warm up matches – Zimbabwe Vs Namibia & South Africa Vs Bangladesh on August 7 and 8 and three first round matches – Pakistan Vs Afghanistan, Pakistan Vs Scotland, Scotland Vs Afghanistan on August 11, 13 and 15 respectively.

Pradhan will also serve as third umpire in two matches – New Zealand Vs Scotland and Pakistan Vs New Zealand on August 12 and 14 respectively.

Ian Ramage, Mark Hawthorne, Sarika Prasad, Richard Smith and Courtney Young, the other members of the Associate and Affiliate Umpire Panel along with Pradhan will officiate in the tournament.

David Boon, Roshan Mahanama (both from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees) and Steve Bernard (ICC Regional Referee for the East-Asia Pacific) will be the match referees for the tournament, while the on-field umpires will be drawn from the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires, and the ICC Associate and Affiliate Umpires’ Panel.

Boon will be the match referee for all matches in Brisbane, Bernard will oversee matches in Sunshine Coast while Mahanama will supervise matches in Townsville, including the match at the Tony Ireland Stadium which is a broadcast venue.

International panel umpires include Ahsan Raza, Owen Chirombe, Johan Cloete, Enamul Hoque Moni, Chris Gaffaney, Richard Illingworth, Ranmore Martinez, Peter Nero, Paul Reiffel and Ravi Sundaram.
