Preview: Nepal U19 vs Bangladesh U19

The Nepalese U19 team are set to face Bangladesh U19 in the first match of the Super-six on Wednesday. Nepal booked a place in a super-six after a thrilling win against Afghanistan in a decisive match.

Nepal are already out of the semifinal race having carried zero points from the group stage. Nepal are in Group 1 of the super-six, from where two teams will advance to the semifinal. India and Pakistan have already secured six points each whilst Nepal can accumulate only four points even if they win the remaining contests.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh registered two wins in the group stage and carried two points. They still hold a chance to book a spot in top four.

What to expect?

Bangladesh has shown some commendable performances in the tournament so far. They surely will be a tough opponent for the Nepalese side. But the Nepalese side is coming up with a recent thrilling win over Afghanistan. Hence their motive is also high and will give a good fight to the Bangladeshi side.

Nepal has batted well in the tournament and is expected to do well against Bangladesh too. Their pace attack is doing pretty well in the tournament.

In 2016, Bangladesh’s skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz guided them to a six-wicket victory in a quarter-final match.
