Nepal U19 team is set to face India U19 in the second Super-Six match. Nepal is already knocked out of the semifinal race whilst India are unbeaten so far in the tournament.

Nepal and India have met twice in the World Cup with India winning both matches.

In 2000, Nepal managed to score just 101/9 in 44 overs. India chased the target in 25.2 overs losing just two wickets.

Rishab Pant played an electrifying knock in 2016 to help India thrash Nepal by seven wickets. Pant scored a 24-ball 78 as India chased the target of 170 runs in 18.1 overs.

We could be heading for another one-sided clash. India is in top-notch form and has been hammering their opponents so far. Meanwhile, Nepal are struggling in many sectors.

Nepal might struggle against India’s opening pacers who generate a quality swing bowling. Nevertheless, Everyone’s eye will be on Nepal to see how much fight they will put against the neighboring country.

Previous meeting:

Nepal had a forgettable outing against India during the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023. They suffered a humiliating 10-wicket defeat in Dubai.  Raj Limbani dismantled Nepal’s batting lineup as they were bowled out for a mere 52 overs in 22.1 overs. None of the Nepali batters were able to cross double-digit score.

India chased the target in just 7.1 overs without losing any wickets.

Nepal has won only one match in the tournament – against Afghanistan to qualify for the Super-Six. They were beaten by New Zealand and Pakistan in the group-stage matches whilst they faced a five-wicket defeat against Bangladesh in the Super-Six match.
