Preview: Nepal vs Canada ODI series

The bilateral series between Nepal and Canada is set to commence, starting on February 8. Canada is touring Nepal for a three-match ODI series.

Both the teams are yet to face each other in ODI. This marks the first-ever ODI meeting between these two teams.

The inaugural match of the bilateral series is scheduled on Thursday, with the subsequent two other matches set to take place on the 10th and 12th of February.

Nepal always delivers a commanding performance at the home ground. Meanwhile, Canada are coming after losing a final against Malaysia in a Hong Kong Tri-Series.

Nepal has revealed a squad featuring several new players, indicating that a couple of young talents are poised to earn their debut caps. It will be interesting to see how Canada contends against the formidable Nepalese team.

Canada has unveiled a strong 15-man squad for Nepal tour. Saad Bin Zafar will lead the side with experienced campaigners like Kaleem Sana, Aaron Johnson and Srimantha Wijeyratne. The team is also packed with young energy as well.

Led by Rohit Paudel, Nepal has unveiled a 15-man squad that incorporates both young talents and fresh faces. Among them, Surya Tamang, Rijan Dhakal, Hemant Dhami, and Aakash Chand are yet to receive their national caps. Notably, Anil Sah, Pawan Sarraf, and Dev Khanal have also staged a comeback to the team.

Surya Tamang is in line to earn his debut cap, and either Rijan Dhakal or Aakash Chand could also receive their first caps.
