Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the Prime Minister of Nepal has announced a cash prize of NRs 300,000 each to felicitate the players of the Nepal Men’s cricket team.

In recognition of their outstanding performance during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2, Dahal congratulated the cricket team for entering the qualifiers of the World Cup cricket and announced a prize of three lakhs each to the players.

“Heartily congratulating the Nepalese cricket team for entering the qualifiers of the World Cup cricket tournament and raising the self-esteem and identity of Nepal. I announce a prize of Three Lakhs” said Prime Minister on his Social Media handle.

Nepal registered a remarkable victory against the United Arab Emirates on Thursday in a jam-packed TU Cricket Ground in Kathmandu. A win in the last match of the Cricket World Cup League 2 also saw Nepal surpass Namibia in the third position of the table to ensure a direct spot in the World Cup Qualifiers.

The home team were victorious by nine runs (D/L method), as no further play was possible after the end of 44 overs, mainly due to the bad light. Nepal were 269 for six at that stage.
