Prithu and Pradeep star in Mumbai

Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Nepal U19 skipper and senior team member Prithu Baskota played an important innings of 52 runs in the finals as Yogi Cricket Club won the Suburban Unity T20 Cup on Wednesday in Mumbai.

Struggling at 39 for 3, Prithu scored 52 off 41 balls while Pradeep Airee quick fired 24 off 17 balls as Yogi scored 167 runs.

Yogi defended 167 runs clinically. Man of the final Baskota picked up two wickets. According to the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royal’s coach, Monty Desai, Airee was declared as best batsman of the tournament for scoring a total of 192 runs.

Baskota and Airee are in Mumbai as a part of training. They are currently being trained by Desai.

Meanwhile, national cricket coach Pubudu Dassanayake is back to Nepal after his short stay at Canada. The closed camp training for the senior players is set to begin within few days.
