Prithu and Pradeep to Whet Batting Skills in India

Cricnepal/Kathmandu – Prithu Baskota and Pradeep are set to participate in 31 day batting camp organized by World Cricket Academy (WCA) in Mumbai.

WCA, an academy affiliated to Mumbai Cricket Association, Monty Desai is the head coach of WCA. Desai also works as batting coach of Rajasthan Royals better known by Nepali Cricket fans as the person who called Shakti Gauchan fpr a trial with Royals for the fifth season of IPL after Shakti’s impressive performance with the ball in ICC World T20 Qualifier in Dubai earlier this year.

Prithu and Pradeep’s Indian tour is the part of CAN’s plans for the upcoming ICC World Cricket League Division-III to be held in Bermuda from April 28 to May 5 next year.CAN also has plans to send other National Team Members abroad for Special training Camps.

They will also feature in T20 invitational Cricket Tournament for Yogi Cricket Club. The pair are likely to leave for the training this Saturday.

Such involvement of National players started off when Paras Khadka got a chance to play for Ontario Cricket Club in Canada through Coach’ Dassanayeke’s mediation. 7 players including Paras have since then been involved in Cricket in foreign lands since then. Gyanendra Malla, Sharad Veswarkar and Anil Mandal were sent to India for a batting camp just before Division four. Amrit Bhattarai and Chandra Saud are the other two players who flew abroad for Cricketing cause, playing for a Sri Lankan Club earlier this year.
