Nepal national women’s team captain Rubina Chhetri has picked up her first-ever wicket in FairBreak Invitational Tournament. Coming into the second edition of the tournament, Rubina finally got something to celebrate in her fourth appearance in the entire tournament.
On a Monday’s clash between Barmy Army and Warriors Women, Rubina dismissed the opposition’s skipper Sindhu Sriharsha in Barmy Army’s 17-run win. Rubina conceded three and seven runs in her first two overs, then bowling the 16th over of the match, she conceded six and picked up one wicket to end with the figure of 3-0-16-1.
In the first edition of the tournament, Rubina featured in two matches, not getting either bat or ball in the first one. She conceded 20 runs without picking any wickets in the second match. In this year’s first match, the 29 years old finished ended up with a spell of 3-0-20-0.
The Barmy Army Women set up a total of 163/6 after Deandra Dottin’s 69-run inning. In reply, Warriors Women were bowed out for 146 runs.
