Nepal Women’s cricket team will be looking to take their confidence from the recent Bangladesh and Qatar tour to commence their campaign in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier against Hong Kong on Monday.

Teams are only two steps away from playing in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa. The winners of the six-team tournament here get to play in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022 from which teams can book their places for South Africa.

Nepal captain Rubina Chhetry Belbashi sees the tournament as an opportunity of a lifetime and can feel the anticipation as the two ICC Academy grounds in Dubai Sports City get ready to host Nepal, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Malaysia, and UAE.

“I am very excited to play in the Qualifiers because it has been a dream for me and my team for the past 15 years to qualify and play in the World Cup,” Rubina Chhetry Belbashi said.

“It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us,” She further added.

Nepal Women’s team plays their first fixture against Hong Kong on 22 November, Bhutan on 23 November, Kuwait on 25 November, Malaysian on 26 November, and UAE on 28 November. All matches for Nepal Women are scheduled to be played at ICC Academy Ground 2 in Dubai.

The matches will be played as Women’s Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), with the top team progressing to the 2022 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament.
