Rubina Chhettri’s Barmy Army victorious over Sita Rana Magar’s Tornadoes

The Barmy Army Women has registered a humongous win against Tornadoes Women on Saturday’s clash in FairBreak Invitational Tournament.

Nepal’s both players, Rubina Chhetri and Sita Rana Magar, featured for their respective sides in the match. The Barmy Army hammered Tornadoes by ten wickets in Rubina Chhetri’s first appearance in the tournament.

Invited to bat first, Tornadoes posted 160/4 in the allotted 20 overs. Sune Luus scored an unbeaten 65, while Natasha Miles added 40 runs.

Rubina Chhetri bowled three overs for Barmy Army and conceded 20 runs without picking up a wicket. Rubina conceded 11 runs in the first over but came back well and shared just nine from the remaining two overs (Six and three).

In reply, Barmy Army completed the chase in just 15.4 overs without losing any wickets. Skipper Lauren Winfield-Hill hammered an unbeaten 64-ball 120 runs, whereas Laura Wolvaardt contributed 40* runs.

For Tornadoes, Sita Rana Magar bowled a couple of overs and conceded 26 runs. She conceded ten from the first over with one six and shared 16 from the second with two fours and one six.

Barmy Army’s skipper Winfield-Hill was adjudged player of the match for her brilliant century.
