S.G. Challengers beats Duro Warriors

KATHMANDU, January 04:

S.G Challengers defeated Duro Warriors by 8 wickets to secure the semi final spot of the ongoing Shree Ridhi Sidhi Marwadi Champions League here at Modern Indian School Ground, Chovar today.

S.G. Challengers, winning the toss invited Duro Warriors to bat first. Though having a flying start, Warriors couldn’t find a good total. They had to satisfy with 102 runs in 18.3 overs. Prateek Gupta top scored for Duro Warriors with 33 off 30 deliviries that included 3 fours and a six. Ankit Agrawal and Suraj Basnet couldn’t hold the innings for the warriors, while Niraj Basnet added 25 off 13 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes.

Challengers had a brilliant first innings with Pankaj Agrawal grabbing 3 wickets conceding only 8 runs off the 4 over spell. Similarly, Vikash Lunia added 3 wickets, Puneet Agrawal grabbed 2 while Dipendra Agrawal got one.

In reply, Challengers chased the target in 14.4 overs in loss of 2 wickets. Yogesh Sawarthia from Challengers remained not out at 39. Yogesh’s innings included 3 fours and 3 sixes. Anil Vibhuti made 27 runs off 23 balls with 5 fours. Arsad Iman went at 11 while Dipendra Agrawal remained not out at 13. Jayant Agrawal and Prateek Gupta got a wicket each for the Warriors.

The first semi final between Tip Top 11 and S.G Challengers will be played tomorrow at TU Cricket Ground from 8 AM.
