SAMV and Galaxy Play a Tie, NPS Win

Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Nepal Police School (NPS) had registered its first  win, in 6th Chief of Army Intershool Cricket Tournamnet defeating Brihaspati School, today at Army School Ground, Bhaktapur.

The other game Sainik Aawasiya Maha Vidyalaya played a tie with Galaxy School to share a point each.

SAMV vs. Galaxy( Pool A)

In the first match, winning the toss and batting first Galaxy School posted 100 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Dhirendra Raut scored 33 runs of 29 balls while Nabin Budathoki Contributed with 25. SAMV’s Dharmendra picked up three wickets in his four overs giving 18 runs; Basu Baniya bowled a healthy spell of four overs, giving only 12 runs as he bagged 2 wickets.

Chasing 101 SAMV made exactly 100 runs in 20 overs losing nine wickets. Gunjan Yadav made an important 30 of 45 balls for SAMV, while Dhermendra Ranamagar made a match saving 12 of 14 balls. Rajendra Pal picked of 2 wickets for galaxy, while Akash Bista outcased impressive bowling giving away only 11 runs in four overs with a maiden and a wicket. Dhirendra Ranamagar was declared the player of the match

NPS vs. Brihaspati (Pool B)

In the second match Nepal Police School(NPS) defeated Brihaspati School by 4 wickets , thanks to a all round performance by player of the match Bhupendra Oli. Batting first with Brihaspati posted 105 runs losing eight wickets. Pratik Raj Bhandari top scored for Brihaspati with 34 runs, Pratik Kant contributed with 19. NPS’s Bhupendra Oli picked up two wickets of his four overs giving away only 10 runs and top scored while chasing the target with 22 runs, as NPS got to the target in 18 overs.
